Janus Henderson Group Plc is making a new push into alternative assets, investing in a firm founded by former executives at Blackstone Inc. and AQR Capital Management to help market private equity, debt and other non-traditional investments to private wealth clients.
The partnership with Privacore Capital lets the money manager expand in the fast-growing alternatives industry and tap into growing interest among wealthy clients, according to a statement on Thursday. High-net-worth clients have $80 trillion globally, which the firm said will be increasingly allocated to alternative assets.
“We recognize that the democratization of alternatives among Private Wealth clients is still in the early stages, and this trend presents a significant opportunity for firms with strong relationships with retail intermediaries—like Janus Henderson—to expand the breadth and quality of alternative investment solutions for clients,” said Janus Henderson CEO, Ali Dibadj.
